Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #21

Welcome to our Blog Hop #21.

This month we had a colour challenge using the new In Colors. I decided to use Misty Moonlight, Just Jade and Bumblebee inks on my first card. The card base is Misty Moonlight and the first layer is Basic Grey. The top layer is Whisper White.

I stamped off some of the greenery from Forever Fern stamps – still one of my favourite stamps for its versatility – before stamping it on the white card and added some Bumblebee ink randomly in the blank spaces. I also stamped some leaves in Just Jade and die cut them with the Forever Flourishing dies – part of the Forever Greenery bundle. I also die cut some leaves in Misty Moonlight.

The sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight and Bumble Bee on a Stitched Nested Die and added to the card with dimensionals. Some of the die cuts were placed under the sentiment and some on top. I added a little bow of Baker’s Twine from the Playful Pets to finish it off.

I made another card where I used all the In Colour inks – Misty Moonlight, Bumble Bee, Jade Green, Cinnamon Cider and Magenta Madness! This was a watercolour scene using Grace’s Garden stamps and Garden Gateway dies.

The Card base is in Very Vanilla and the first layer is Magenta Madness. The flowers are stamped on Water Colour paper and the gate and fence is die cut from Cinnamon Cider.

Before I stamped the flowers, I brayered the Watercolour paper lightly in Misty Moonlight, Jade Green and Bumble Bee. All the flowers were stamped in Memento Black and water coloured using the ink pads. I used some Wink of Stella to highlight some of the flowers. Some flowers were cut out with the die cuts to add dimension to the card. The sentiment is in Magenta Madness ink.

I hope you enjoy both these cards!
